Battery charger input contactor (Aux)

The purpose of the Battery Charger Input Contactor is to connect and isolate DC/DC battery charger from DC Link. The operational conditions are like those of the APS input contactor, but with reduced lower load. Depending on the control logic, a disconnector can be used instead. In the battery charger unit, you typically need a single, normally open pole contactor.
