Pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation No. 679/2016 on the protection of data subject with regard to the processing of personal data (‘GDPR’)

 

This Privacy Policy is rendered exclusively for the web application “microelettricacatalogue.com” (“Web App”) and not also for any other websites and/or application through which e.g. the user may access and/or use the Web App and is exclusively addressed to the users of the Web App (“Users”).

 

Data controller

The data controller is Microelettrica Scientifica S.p.A., with registered office in (20090) Buccinasco (MI), Via Lucania, 2/4/6; Email: privacy@microelettrica.com (“Microelettrica” or “Controller”).

 

Type of data acquired

The services, contents and features/functions of the Web App are accessible exclusively after the User has registered.

In particular, the Controller will acquire the following registration data:

  • first name, surname, e-mail address and company name;
  • password;
  • data on the use of the Web App, as also stated in the cookie policy.

Please note that the Web App may acquire navigation/operation data of the Web App. Indeed, the IT and telematic systems and software procedures used to operate the Web App acquire, in the course of their normal operation, certain data relating to the User, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols, smartphones and devices used. These data include, but are not limited to, the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the website www.microelettricacatalogue.com, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the User’s operating system and IT environment. . (‘Personal Data’)

 

Compulsory or optional nature of providing data

The data is necessary for the provision of the services referred to in the Web App, but optional. Data required to access the digital catalogue are in all cases indicated with an asterisk. Therefore, refusal to provide Personal Data will not allow the Controller to provide the service and/or allow the use of the Web App.

 

Purpose of processing

 

Personal Data are processed for the purposes of providing the services available through the Web App.

In particular, Personal Data is acquired to (i) allow registration and subsequent recognition of the User during the login phase; (ii) provide the service and therefore allow the User access to the contents of Microelettrica’s digital catalogue; (iii) Obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to check its correct operation. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the website.

Personal Data and aggregate information may also be used to measure the performance of the services provided through the Web App and this may be done by analyzing User interactions with the Web App. Microelettrica may also collect anonymous information for the sole purpose of collecting statistics on the number of Users who have accessed the digital catalogue.

 

Legal basis for processing

The legal basis for the processing is found in the performance of pre-contractual/contractual measures on the basis of a specific request by the User (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

For the purposes of statistics/measuring the effectiveness of services, the legal basis is to be found in the legitimate interest of the Data Controller in continuing to offer services that are appreciated and useful to customers (Article 6(2)(f) GDPR).

 

Method and location of processing; Storage period

Processing takes place in electronic format and Personal Data are collected and processed both at the Data Controller’s premises and at the server of an external party duly appointed as Data Processor pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.
