Installed just upstream of main Busbars (OMNIBUS), Load Disconnectors disconnect the rectifier negative pole. They open the circuit negative pole of a circuit after the tripping of a circuit breaker. The Load Disconnector also provides visual confirmation of the circuit status (open or close) for the substation service personnel to check for safety conditions. It also enables sectionalizing lines during maintenance / fault isolations.
